My cousin, C, came back from rehab, relapsed, lots of alleged abuse drama, husband moves her to areas unknown and no one can locate her. Husband initiates a call with C's gramma this past weekend. She seems to be doing OK and promises of regular calls were made.
I went through kidney donor evals and will go into detail about all that later. End result...I was a perfect match.
March 11, 2010, which is also National Kidney Donor Day, I donated my left kidney to JC. I'll blog about that later. It was AWESOME!!
Two weeks after I got home Soldier tells me that we are moving to Kentucky as he is being transferred. Nice. That's another novel of detail.
Because I'm a masochist, I went back to work and school the same day. Guess how long it took me to have a complete mental breakdown from surgery, packing our entire lives, school and working full time? I'm happily medicated now ;).
Labor Day weekend, the kids and I drove the last little bit of belongings to Kentucky and here we are. We kinda like it here. Weather is WAY warmer but nothing is close. That's my only beef. And you know the site 'People of Wal-Mart'? I got my own 'People of Kentucky'. Is HA-larious.
Shorties are well. Chunky is being treated for a sinus infection and Mad Hatter is having severe homework frustration. That's hard on a six year old. I've sent a note to her teacher to talk about her work ethic and what we can do to ease the frustration for Mad Hatter.
I'll have way more to talk about, but need to wrap up my day at work and who wants to read a novel right now? Well, I do, on my gorgeous Nook, but I need to work for my paycheck. Go figure!
